Afterschool at Lafayette Skate Park - 9/9/26

Our Wednesday after-school programs at Lafayette Skatepark have been off to a great start! Every week we’ve had a fun mix of new faces and familiar ones, and this Wednesday was no different.

Big Drop-ins at Bob. L Burger!

Maxwell definitely stole the show this week, dropping into the 8-foot-deep end of the snake run — a pretty impressive move for anyone!

The Rocky Road Less Traveled

The local Dill Pickle brought his usual combination of comic relief and charging fast around the park. Displaying his creative with some of the more unique, less-skated features around the outside of the park. Brian would be proud. (See video.)

Smooth Cruising Bank-to-Bank

Rowen was stoked to relearn his favorite lines from last year — hitting the two banks in a row in the street section before taking a fakie high up the big bank on the other side.

Our local staff, Joe and Cody, are eager to offer mentorship and instruction-based skateboard programs to the Lafayette community.

Whether someone is dropping into an 8-foot bowl for the first time, working on their first ollie, relearning tricks after some time away, or just cruising around and having fun, there’s always something new to work toward. - Coach Joe

SHUTTLES

We pick up from a handful of schools in the Boulder area and shuttle kids to our After School Sessions at the Squarehouse.  If you want a shuttle from your school, get a posse together (3 kids get it started) and reach out to us for scheduling possibilities.

Our newest shuttle in Longmont takes kids from Blue Mountain Elementary to the After School Session in Lyons every Monday.  We shuttle them back for pick up at Blue Skies Park for pick up at 6pm.

Thursday: Summit, Southern Hills, Manhattan, and Platt Middle
